Newhouse Academy – part of Hollingworth Learning Trust – has an opportunity for a Teacher of English to join our academy from June 2025 until August 2026/upon return of the substantive post holder.
The English department currently has 12 dedicated team members who teach English Language and Literature up to GCSE level. We are looking for a passionate English teacher to join us on our journey of continued success. We are exceptionally proud of the diverse and challenging curriculum we offer at Newhouse Academy and we are always looking at ways to explore literature texts in new and exciting ways.
There are a number of extra curricular activity opportunities to get involved in including our magazine club.
It is important that you are a team player and understand how important our values are to us. This has helped Newhouse Academy to become one of the most improved academies in the country.

As part of our drive to increase wellbeing, teaching staff receive a higher than 10% non teaching time on their timetable. There is dedicated CPD time each week, staff are then given time to work on implementing this into their lessons.
