Newhouse Academy
Secondary Support
Newhouse Academy is looking for a School Operations Manager who is, as we describe, one of “our people”. We appoint on character over talent alone, believing we can always learn new skills. It is important that you are a team player and understand how important our values are to us.
Improvements have only been achieved by working together on a clear vision and looking after our biggest asset, our staff. We started with WHY? Why should you want to work at Newhouse? The answer is, our people. We come to work to support our students and fellow colleagues. We create an environment of high expectations that means our people treat each other with respect. When you have a bad day, we have your back. We work hard together and develop leaders that in turn develop other leaders both at staffing and student level.
We enjoy our jobs but also understand that education can be a harsh environment, but by working as a team we can solve things together.
We are looking for a candidate who has an operational background in school management.
You will manage a variety of support staff including Site Supervisor and Catering Manager; setting high standards; and ensuring compliance at every level. You will be well supported and inducted by the senior leaders at the school and will contribute to the Senior Leadership Team operation and strategic decision making.
In return, we offer:
· Membership of the Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF)
· Funded CPD for nationally recognised qualifications
· An optional package of health benefits from Simply Health which includes; GP appointments, money back for eye tests, prescriptions and more.
· Free use of brand new gym facilities
· Staff activities, including a Wellbeing Café
· Free staff car parking
We openly encourage you to make an appointment to come in and have a look round. The Headteacher, Alex Burnham, is more than willing to meet you and talk through our journey and the vision for the future. Do you want to be part of the team that takes Newhouse Academy to the next phase in its journey? Come and have a look, what do you have to lose?
